The best of the best triathletes from around the world will converge in Henderson to compete in the ultimate endurance competition, the Ironman World Championship 70.3. The race begins with a 1.2-mile swim in Lake Las Vegas, followed by a challenging 56-mile bike in and around Lake Mead Recreational Area and finishing with a 13.1-mile run through Henderson's scenic residential areas with views of the Las Vegas Strip. Throughout the Ironman route, athletes will face up to 12,000 feet elevation gains.

Throughout the 2013 year, 60,000 athletes will participate in the Ironman 70.3 Series, which consists of nearly 50 events in locations such as Australia, Germany, South Africa and Switzerland, to qualify for the IronMan World Championship 70.3.

As a result of the race, numerous road closures will take place. Please check back periodically for updates involving these closures leading up to event day.

Viewing Areas
Several viewing areas are available for spectators. Cheer on the athletes at the beach entrance to the swim start at Westin Lake Las Vegas, set up camp along the many streets of Henderson as they bike and run or meet these amazing competitors as they cross the finish line at the Henderson Pavilion.

Event Parking
Parking for the swim start will be available throughout Lake Las Vegas. Attendees are encouraged to use hotel shuttles.

Parking at the finish line area will be available at various locations surrounding the Henderson Pavilion. Please expect delays in this area due to congestion of other spectators, event staff & volunteers, security, media and athlete support teams. Some find it convenient to park at The District at Green Valley Ranch Resort & Casino or at Vanderburg and Twitchell Elementary Schools located off Paseo Verde and Shadow Ridge Lane.
