37 Southern Nevada Sons & Daughters of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival March • Henderson Events Plaza, 200 Water Street Celebrate the luck of the Irish at one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day events in the nation. The 3-day festival features a carnival, car show, food and beverages and plenty of live entertainment. The event is highlighted by one of the largest and most colorful parade processions in Nevada. Henderson Heritage Parade & Festival April • Henderson Events Plaza, 200 Water Street Celebrate Henderson’s history and heritage at this much-anticipated annual event. Festivities include live entertainment, international food booths, dancing and cooking demonstrations, craft booths and a fantastic parade. Art Festival of Henderson May • Henderson Events Plaza & Henderson Convention Center, 200 Water Street Join us for a Mother’s Day tradition at Art Festival of Henderson. The event features the work of a variety of contemporary artists, fine crafts, fashion, and home décor, as well as chalk art masterpieces. Paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography and other one-of-a-kind works of art are on display and available for purchase. Other festival features include live entertainment, food, and a kids’ corner with interactive activities. Henderson Fourth of July Celebration July • Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Drive Celebrate Independence Day with live entertainment, hands-on activities and the timehonored tradition of a spectacular fireworks display. Bring a blanket and enjoy a night of family fun. A variety of all-American food concessions are available with proceeds benefiting local schools. Midnite Madness July • Various Henderson sports complexes Get set for the most anticipated and unique adult softball tournament in the Las Vegas Valley, drawing teams from around the West and Southwest. It’s a one-pitch, all-night tournament where players pitch to their own teams. Hit or miss, fair or foul, there are no second changes. Play features 30-minute nighttime games, with bats provided. First through fourth place finishers share in a generous awards package. Ho’olaule’a Festival September • Henderson Water Street District, 200 Water Street One of the most anticipated Pacific Islander celebrations in Southern Nevada, the Prince Kuhio Ho’olaule’a Pacific Island Festival celebrates Hawaiian culture through song, dance, food and hospitality. The event includes live entertainment, a children’s craft area, health fair and a wide array of commercial, craft and food vendors. Super Run Classic Car Show September • Henderson Water Street District, 200 Water Street Hot rods, muscle cars and vintage vehicles from across the nation roar into Henderson for Super Run, with as many as 1,000 cars and trucks on display. The event features a burnout competition, roaring engines contest, slow drags, live entertainment, hubcap art gallery, automotive vendors, exhibitors and plenty of food trucks.
